The recipe is simple, we love beer, delicious craft beer, and we’ve been brewing some of the tastiest ales & lagers that have been winning awards and fighting crime since 1997. Our talented and knowledgeable brew team brings passion, creativity, and a whole lotta awesomeness to every beer we produce. With over 40 years of combined brewing experience, it’s no wonder why our beers are expertly balanced and exceptionally delicious.
Each beer starts with precisely selected raw ingredients, then we brew it on a unique state-of-the-art brewing system that was specifically designed for our brewhouse by the industry leader and stainless steel manufacturer, Paul Mueller Company. Our brewery is one-of-a-kind as it’s the only brewery in Springfield that offers tank to tap freshness. Each beer that is poured comes from one of our 15 barrel serving tanks, unlike most brewery tap rooms that utilize kegs to dispense their product. These extra steps we take ensure our beers are the freshest in town, and the Springfield Brewing Company experience unlike anywhere else in our region.

Bruce earned a BS in Computer Science from Missouri State University way back in 1989 then spent 23 years writing software for various industries. He returned to school in 2013 to study beer at the University of California, Davis and was awarded his Professional Brewers and Master Brewers Certificates. Shortly after Bruce received his Diploma in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, London, UK. When not working, he rides bicycles, paddles canoes, rafts, and entertains/annoys his wife and reads books.
