FreeJoin us for First Friday Art Walk Featuring local artist, Jonathan Zachary
Jonathan Zachary realized a love for coloring when he was just a few years old and has continued to draw and color in a variety of mediums ever since. Line, form and abstraction are characteristic themes throughout his work, in which the basic art elements perform as both the tools and the subject. In everything, he hopes to achieve a sense of visual clarity and beauty by way of simplicity and restraint.The still and muted paintings of Andrew Wyeth have had a significant impact on his style, which is similarly informed by the natural landscape and the small, subtle wonders of each day.
Jonathan graduated from College of the Ozarks in 2012 with a B.A. in Studio Art and an emphasis in Graphic Design. He now lives and works in Springfield, Missouri, with his wife, Lauren.
