DESCRIPTION
12 Point is a Bavarian-style pilsner with a bright golden hue and a light body. The hop aroma and flavor is medium and characterized by noble and slightly spicy notes and a crisp, bitter finish. The malt body is light with a soft malt presence creating a supremely drinkable and balanced beer. This beer was fermented and laggered for 6 weeks.
THE STYLE
12 Point Pilsner is a play-off of one of our retired beers, 11 Point Pilsner, which was a flagship in our draft and package line up from 2011-2015. Stylistically similar to the 11 Point, the 12 Point, features a different malt bill and a softer hop character.
THE SIDE PULL FAUCET
The side pull faucet (or Czech beer faucet) is used to control the flow of beer to create a creamy head, which is the traditional way of enjoying a Czech pilsner. The faucet is submerged into the mug to create a silky, sweet head of foam. Each slight movement of the handle changes the flow of beer; every degree of the handle changes the flow of beer; every degree of change increases or decreases the amount of liquid being poured into the glass.
